Family Night

Just a reminder that our Book Fair family night will be tomorrow, Thursday from 4:00 - 7:30 in the library. Come and choose some books with your child. There is a great selection to choose from at the fair.  Mr. Kiser and I also have wish lists in envelopes near the cash register.  We would love to add some more books to our class libraries.

Book Fair

Mrs. Vassar's class went  to the bookfair today during our library time. Many students did not have their money to purchase books today.  There is a family night Thursday night if you would like to shop with your child then. If you cannot attend and would like your child to shop please send their money in an envelope with them and I will try to find a good time for them to go when they are not missing instruction.

White Group - Quilt Use assignment

Today in class the white group read The Keeping Quilt. The book follows the uses of a quilt through different generations. The students will be listing the uses in order that they were used in the book.  They DO NOT count the page where the quilt is being hung out to dry.  They also need to be very specific about the use as it was used for similar things over time.

Math Homework for First Week of October:

Everyone has a math project due on Friday, October 5th.
Here are the directions:
You are the cashier at a store you own. You decide what type of merchandise you sell at your store and give your store a name. Draw a picture of items that would be for sale. Make a chart that lists the items and their prices. Five customers bring their merchandise to your cash register. Tell what each customer bought and the price of every item. Add their total cost. They pay with a bill that is larger than their total. Subtract to make change. Tell exactly how many bills and coins you give the customer to make change. (Your child has a copy of the directions with an example.)
